Montreal West Artists’ Showcase
Background on the Artists’ Showcase
The MW Artists Showcase is one of the initiatives of the Town’s Recreation and Cultural Services. Designed to promote the artists who live in the Town, the project is organizing three exhibitions a year.
Children’s Art on View for the Summer
This summer’s version of the Montreal West Artists Showcase highlights the work of some of our talented young artists. The Creative Kids exhibit features intricate ink drawings and mosaic portraits by students from Royal West Academy, as well as cheerful creations from pupils at Elizabeth Ballantyne and Edinburgh schools. Don’t miss it in the music room and in the upstairs assembly hall from now until mid-September.
Meanwhile, if you are an adult artist, you are invited to prepare for the autumn show on the theme “Green.” You can interpret the word any way you like, from nature and the environment to inexperience to “green with envy.” As usual, small three-dimensional objects are welcome, as well as paintings, drawings, photos, etc. The deadline for entries will be shortly after Labour Day.
To find out more or to get an application form, go to the Montreal West website, pick one up at the office in the Town Hall, or contact Elizabeth Ulin, eulin@montreal-west.ca, 514-486-1081.
