PROPERTY VALUATION


In September 2006, the new real estate valuation roll for 2007-2008-2009 was released by the Evaluation Office of Agglomeration Council and was in effect January 1, 2007.

To find the new valuation for your propoerty, visit the Town Hall at 50 Westminster South during regular business hours, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM, or consult the D.E.F.V.M. (Direction de l'évaluation foncière de la ville de Montréal) website at 
ville.montreal.qc.ca/evalweb.
 
In Montreal West, the average valuation increased as follows :

  • Single family home   37.1%
  • Duplex     38.4%
  • 6-11 Dwelling   38.0%
  • Commercial   30.0%
  • Industrial   26.6%
  • Institutional or governmental 90.2%
If you believe that the assessment for your property does not accurately reflect its real market value, you can apply for an administrative review by completing the form « Application for review of the real estate assessment roll » which is available at the Town Hall.  The duly completed form accompanied by the non-refundable fee must be forwarded to the D.E.F.V.M. offices before May 1, 2007.
